About Qinglang Wu

Qinglang Wu was born in Changsha, China, in 2001. She has been living in Canada for five years since 2021. She earned her undergraduate degree in Media, Information and Technoculture (MIT) at Western University, and continued her master’s there in Media in Journalism and Communication (MMJC).

Growing up in a city with a dense media atmosphere, Qinglang Wu has always wanted to have a career that’s related to media. She was captivated by the power of words, so she learned to think independently to create her own; she was touched by different kinds of videos, so she learned how to convey emotions through visual storytelling.

She published six articles in the English newspaper Hangzhoufeel, run by City Express, including three front-page articles in 2022. She continues to build her expertise in journalism and communications, trying to find the most suitable direction.

Qinglang Wu likes doing sports, like skateboarding, badminton, dragon boat, and so on. She also likes listening to true-crime podcasts, watching K-dramas, and playing instruments.
